Justin and Jeraco Whitaker, of State Center, are the parents of a daughter, Aidra Rae, born at 1:06 p.m. June 25 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measuring 20 inches in length. Grandparents are Kevin and Becky Whitaker, of Clemons, and Nick and Sherri Grossman, of Marshalltown. Great grandparents are: Marla Grossman, Garrah Pippin, Darlene Whitaker and Jim and Greta Benson.

Caleb Worley and Chelsey Lawrence, of Georgia, are the parents of a daughter, Autumn Kimber Worley, born at 2:55 p.m. Aug. 2 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, of Waycross, Ga., weighing 7 pounds, 13.5 ounces and measuring 20.25 inches in length. Grandparents are: Tammy and Jason Rubenbauer, of Waycross, Ga.; Shawn and Terri Riggins, of Woodbine, Ga.; and Michael and Ginger Worley, of Waycross, Ga. Great-grandparents are: Roger McClellan, of Waycross, Ga.; Wayne Lawrence, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Sherry Cothern, of Alma, Ga.; Rick and Kim Rubenbauer, of Marshalltown; and Marilyn Buchwald and Scott Sutherland, of Marshalltown. Jared Kupka, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse-strangulation charge and a harassment-first degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 19. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only. The court ordered that Kupka have no firearms in his possession. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Ryan Biensen, 405 E. Boone St. Apt. #6, made an initial appearance on a credit card theft charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 29. Biensen was released on his own recognizance.

Eric Mayes, 812 E. State St., made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 due, within 30 days of today's date.

Juan Castellanos, 604 W. Boone St., made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days of today's date.

Alejandro Galvez-Barraga, 901 S. Second Ave., made an initial appearance on two counts of a rabies vaccination violation charge. He pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50 on each charge, due within 30 days of today's date.

Van-Ness Cory Marlyn Viles, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a loud noises from vehicle charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 10 in Magistrate Court.

Incidents

On July 29, an individual associated with Mid-Iowa Cooperative, 502 Green Mountain Road, reported damage to a door at the business and the theft of cash. Estimated value of loss was $675.

Arrests

On Tuesday, Ryan Mark Biensen, 405 E. Boone St. Apt. #6, was arrested for forgery/counterfeiting.

On Tuesday, Leydie Hillary Mejia, 803 Woodbury St., was arrested for speeding 71 in a 55 mph zone, driving while barred-habitual offender and no insurance.

On Monday, Matthew John Surber, of Beaman, was arrested for probation violation.

On Aug. 2, David Darvell Willis, 402 Plaza Heights Road Apt. #1, was arrested for domestic abuse assault with bodily injury and two counts of child endangerment.

On Aug. 2, Bradley Michael VanCleave, 1911 Summit St., was arrested for violation of parole.

On Aug. 2, Raelene Elizabeth Needham, 1305 W. Boone St. Apt. #1, was arrested for trespass.

On July 26, Mathias Ndayisenga, of Perry, was arrested for probation violation.
