Dana Morison, 211 S. Third St. (Down), made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days of today's date.

Danielle Marie Catron, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days of today's date.

Ariel Eugenio De Mota Alvarez, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days of today's date.

Molly June Gummert, 395 Bromley St. Apt. #1, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 17 in Magistrate Court. Jeffrey Hazen was appointed by the court to represent her. Robert Stone, 509 N. Third St., made an initial appearance on a simple assault charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days of today's date.

Glenda Smith, homeless, made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order charge. The court appointed Laura Sopher to represent her in this case. The contempt hearing is set for 2:45 p.m. Aug. 28. Smith was released on her own recognizance. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Susan Marie Lewis Williams, of St. Anthony, made an initial appearance on a serious domestic abuse assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 30. Williams was released on her own recognizance. The court ordered that is she owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition she was to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Austin Gregory Moser, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a trespass charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 30. Moser was released on his own recognizance.

Morris was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered that if he owned for possessed any firearms or ammunition Morris is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Darlinda Kay Warnell, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a violation of a one-way traffic designation charge. She pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge she was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the violation of one-way traffic designation was $35 with a $12.25 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $107.25. All fines are due within 30 days of today's date.

Tyson Alan Hinders, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a failure to maintain or use a safety belt charge and a registration violation charge. He pleaded guilty to all charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the failure to maintain a safety belt was $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50. The registration violation fine was $20 with a $7 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $87. All fines are due within 30 days of today's date.

Desiree Leah Carmer, 1501 Summit St., made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days of today's date.

Arrests

On Monday, Austin Gregory Moser, homeless, was arrested for trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft-third degree (enhanced) from Wal-Mart.

On Monday, Glenda Kay Smith, homeless, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.

Accidents

On July 25, a minivan driven by Danielle Renee Beyer, of Grinnell, was eastbound on East Linn Street when it attempted to change lanes and collided with the passenger rear of a car driven by Marla Kaye Smith, of Westminster, Colo., which was also traveling east on Linn Street. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Beyer minivan was estimated at $1,000 while the Smith car received an estimated $1,500 in damage.
