Are you wondering what the changes in health insurance will mean for you? "Smart Choice: Health Insurance" is a free workshop from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, designed to help you understand your options and make the best decisions for your situation.
Five workshops are planned for Marshall County at this time: 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 19 at State Center City Hall; 1 to 3 p.m. or 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 at the Marshalltown Public Library; from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 at the LeGrand Public Library and from 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the Albion Public Library.
The workshops will be led by Barb Wollan, Extension Family Finance specialist, and will be non-commercial and non-political. They will introduce the new Health Insurance Marketplace, what it is and how to use it, and will describe the cost reductions available to many Iowans through the Marketplace. Participants will also build information and skills for choosing a health insurance policy that fits their needs.
No pre-registration is required. If you have questions, contact Marshall County Extension, 641-752-1551.
