Blake and Alicia Matney, of Liscomb, are the parents of a son, Parker Alan Matney, born on Sept. 22 weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 20.75 inches in length. Grandparents are: Russ and Jamie Matney, of Liscomb, and Jim and Christine Springer, of Marshalltown. Great grandparents are: Linda Matney, of Marshalltown, and Lyle and Janice Springer, of Marshalltown.

Sadie E. Wagner, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft-fourth degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 6.

Casey Sheriff, Residential Facility, made an initial appearance on a escape from the residential facility charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 28. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

Robert Leslie Norton, 2766 Garwin Road, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Nov. 15 until the debt is paid in full.

Refugio Gonzalez, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear on a probation violation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The probation revocation hearing is set for 2 p.m. on Nov. 15. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. Gonzalez is still on probation.

Dobuol Lual, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a simple domestic assault charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 in Magistrate Court.

Maricela K. Rodriguez-Muratella, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 26 in Magistrate Court.
