October 28, 2013

The Heart of Iowa Chorus with special guests Richie Lee and Step Into Swing will be performing at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Impala Ballroom in Marshalltown.

This year's salute is to Korean War veterans with music from the 1950s. The Heart of Iowa Chorus is under the direction of Donna Gruis and it has been entertaining and performing for events in the Marshalltown area for almost 50 years.

This tribute will be hosting an atmosphere of soda fountain/sock hop days with complimentary root beer floats. Come in 50s era costumes if you wish and dance along with the band Exes and Ohs as well as dance while you enjoy Richie Lee's Buddy Holly renditions. Other performers will include Elvis (Gordon Miller), Midnight Madness and Audio Illusion quartets.
