Margaret Knoll Otte, of Rogers, Ark., formerly of Marshalltown, will celebrate her 95th birthday on July 26.
Margaret Otte was born July 26, 1919 in Millboro, Tripp County, S.D., to Naomi and William Knoll. Otte grew up in South Dakota and Iowa. She has eight siblings, three who are surviving. Her sisters, Mary Oetker, of Marshalltown, and Shirley Duggleby, of Florida, and brother, Glenn Knoll, of Rogers, Ark.
She was married to Clarence Otte for 45 years and they lived in Marshalltown, before retiring to Rogers in 1978. Clarence Otte died in 1995.
Otte has been active in Beta Sigma Phi, Benton County Republican Women, Benton County Republican Committee, and Beaver Shores Women Club. She continues to play duplicate bridge twice a week. She enjoys reading, genealogy, and flower gardening.
She has three daughters, Nancy Collins of Rogers, Arkansas, Judy Juhl of Roland, Iowa, and Mary Naber of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Along with a family celebration, a birthday card shower is planned.
