The county fair maybe over, but many Marshall county 4-H and FFA members still have work left to do. This time members are preparing for the Iowa State Fair.
The Iowa State Fair starts Aug. 7 and runs through the 17th. Outstanding projects were selected from each non-livestock division at the Central Iowa Fair by a panel of judges, and because of their quality certain projects are headed to the State Fair. The non livestock projects will be on display throughout the entire Iowa State Fair in the 4-H building.
Several communication projects are headed to the State Fair as well. There are three categories of communication events: educational presentations, working exhibits, and Share the Fun. Only a select few presentations were picked from each category to be shared with Iowa Stair Fair goers. Many local 4-H and FFA members decided to continue with their livestock projects and take them to the State Fair. They will be competing against other 4-H members from all over the state for the top spot in each livestock division. Check out the projects and times of those headed to the State Fair and stop by to support the local youth and all of their hard work.
