Early Friday morning the 4-H/FFA Beef Show at the Central Iowa Fair started with the breeding heifers and worked it's way to the market beef, cow-calf pairs and bucket/bottle calves.
Highlights of the beef show include: Supreme Champion Heifer exhibited by Jarrin Goecke and Reserve Champion Heifer shown by Lauren Goecke; Supreme Champion Cow-calf pair was shown by Jared Johnson and Reserve Champion Cow-calf pair was exhibited by Jarrin Goecke. Champions in each age group for the Bucket/Bottle classes include Landrey Peterson in the Kindergarten class, Madelyn Thompson in the first grade class and Cole Kline in the second grade class.
In the afternoon the Market show began with market heifers and moved on to market steers. Champion Market heifer was shown by Cody Kline and Reserve Champion Market Heifer went to Tamera Harre. Supreme Champion Market Animal was exhibited by Cody Butler and Reserve Champion Market Animal was shown by Baylee Butler. Champion Senior Showman went to Katherine Newhouse.
