Marshalltown Community College sophomore outfielder Shaena Robinson has been recognized as a member of the Fastpitch News Preseason All-American team.

Robinson, who had an outstanding freshman year for the Tigers, earned National Junior College Athletic Association second-team All-American honors a season ago.

Last season Robinson finished with a conference-leading 68 hits while driving in 49 runs. The starting outfielder also led the Tigers with a .493 batting average, .551 on-base percentage, and a .971 slugging percentage.

Robinson and the rest of the MCC softball team will start the 2018 season March 3 when they host Iowa Western. The team will then travel to Clermont, Fla., for 11 games from March 10-16.
