MASON CITY — The CIML Iowa Conference girls’ golf tournament has been postponed from Monday to Thursday, school officials announced.

The conference meet, slated for 10 a.m. at Mason City Country Club, has been rescheduled to Thursday at the same location and time. The meet was moved because of poor course conditions caused by heavy rains to hit northern Iowa over the weekend.

The Marshalltown girls placed third in last year’s CIML Iowa meet, led by Kassy Vest’s fifth-place finish, on the same course.

The Class 1A boys’ district golf meet originally scheduled for Friday at Mason City Country Club has been moved to Nashua because of current course conditions and the anticipation of more rain this week.
