U.S. Bank Stadium is set to host its inaugural basketball event featuring eight men’s college teams which will be played Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in Minneapolis.

The University of Northern Iowa will face South Dakota State University on Dec. 1, in the U.S. Bank Stadium Basketball Classic.

The rest of the U.S. Bank Stadium Basketball Classic features St. Thomas vs. University of Wisconsin-River Falls (Nov. 30), Minnesota vs. Oklahoma State (Nov. 30) and North Dakota State vs. Drake (Dec. 1).

“We are excited to be a part of the U.S. Bank Stadium Basketball Classic,” UNI head coach Ben Jacobson said. “It’s a tremendous opportunity for our program to play in a unique atmosphere such as the U.S. Bank Stadium. We will also be competing against a terrific opponent which will add to what should be a great weekend.”

U.S. Bank Stadium is the home of the Minnesota Vikings and a wide variety of events, including Super Bowl LII and ESPN’s Summer X Games. Since opening in July 2016, the stadium has welcomed more than three million visitors, quickly becoming one of the premier stadiums in the world.
