North Tama closes by beating BCLUW, 52-0
CONRAD — The Class A No. 4 North Tama football team closed out the regular season with 52-0 win over BCLUW in Class A District 7 play.
In the last three games of the season, the Redhawks (8-1, 5-1) outscored their opponents by a combined 154-0.
Tyler Morrison finished the regular season with a season-high 238 rushing yards on 13 carries, and he had two receptions for 67 yards to finish with a whopping 305 all-purpose yards and five total touchdowns.
Hale Hulme was 2-for-2 with 67 yards and a touchdown passing, and Skyler Staker completed one of two passes for 29 yards to Hulme.
Ryan McLean led the North Tama defense with 6.5 total tackles, including two solo sacks. Parker Hulme and Gabe Kopriva both had interceptions against the Comets (2-7, 1-5), and Devin McKinley had a fumble recovery.
BCLUW finished with just 42 total yards of offense. Koty Kruse had half of those with 21 yards rushing on eight carries.
North Tama heads to the Class A playoffs this week, where it will face Mason City Newman in Mason City on Friday at 7 p.m.
