WAUKEE — The Marshalltown girls track and field team finished in fifth at the CIML Iowa Conference meet at Waukee High School on Thursday with 25 points.

Gabby Himes had the best result for the Bobcats as she finished in third in the high jump after matching her season-best jump with a height of 4 feet, 10 inches.

Alyvia Chadderdon also had a good showing in the long jump, vaulting a season-best distance of 16-1 to place fourth. The shuttle hurdle relay of Erica Johnson, Himes, Valeria Becerra and Mia Rasmusson also finished in fourth with a season-best time of 1 minute, 14.17 seconds.

Johnson took sixth in the 100-meter hurdles individually after crossing the line in 17.62, and Mia Barajas was fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:30.35.

Waukee won the conference meet with 234 points, while Southeast Polk came in second with 156.
