New Marshalltown High School girls varsity basketball coach Brian Murphy is conducting a camp for girls entering grades 5-12 on July 17-19 at the Roundhouse.

The camp will be held all three days for each of two age divisions. Girls entering grades 9-12 will go from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., while those entering grades 5-8 will have their camp from 2-4 p.m. Cost is $20 per camper.

Lincoln Valley hosting men’s stag event

STATE CENTER — The Lincoln Valley Men’s Association is hosting a Coors Light Men’s Stag fundraiser on July 23 at Lincoln Valley Golf Course.

The four-man best shot tournament is an 18-hole event with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Golfers will play in eight-somes from the yellow tees, or the white tees for golfers 70 and above.

Cost is $40 per golfer, which covers dinner, green fees, sponsor gifts, raffle prizes, hole prizes and flighted prizes.
