BETTENDORF — The Marshalltown Community College men’s soccer team posted a 15-0 blowout win over Scott CC on Wednesday.

MCC (8-3, 3-2) had 12 different players score a goal and opened the first half with an 8-0 lead over the Eagles (4-7, 1-4).

Augusto Cunha kicked off the scoring frenzy in the fourth minute with a goal that was assisted by Sekou Kromah. Matheus Pereira followed with an unassisted goal in the 15th minute.

Pereira assisted Gustavo Leal in the 22nd minute to push the score to 3-0. Yushi Nagao scored in the 24th minute, Kromah scored in the 26th minute and Kenlove Solon scored in the 28th minute to bump the lead to 6-0.

The Tigers then closed out the half with Jiroh Hatano and Guilherme Pereira scoring two more goals in back-to-back minutes in the 44th and 45th minute.

After halftime, Solon scored his second goal of the day in the 48th minute.

Marco Antonio Medeir added a goal in the 55th minute and Kromah got his second goal as well.

Levi Vasconcelos scored in the 74th minute, Luis Albino scored in the 82nd minute and Seiya Zen scored in the 85th minute.

Hatano closed the game out with his second goal in the 89th minute.

MCC goalies Bruno De Freitas and Jorge Blasco held off two shots from Scott CC (4-7, 1-4) with each recording a save.

The Tigers will return home to play Northeast CC at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
