West Marshall falls in make-up game at Dike-New Hartford
DIKE — The West Marshall boys’ basketball team closed out the regular season with a loss on Friday, making up Thursday’s game at Dike-New Hartford a day later.
The Trojans (5-16) fell 72-53 to the host Wolverines (17-4) in their cross-NICL clash.
West Marshall’s Manny Lazard posted career-highs of 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Caleb Keigan cashed in five 3-pointers for 15 points to go with four assists. Gabe Jones added 11 points and six boards, and Qwinton Wilder added eight points in defeat.
Parker Kiewiet led Dike-New Hartford with 15 points, while Dane Fuller and Landen Sullivan each had 13 points.
West Marshall opens Class 2A District 13 play on Monday night in Story City, where the Trojans will meet Roland-Story in the 8 p.m. game.
