OKLAHOMA CITY — Iowa State senior defensive back Greg Eisworth was named to the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Watch List, announced today by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.

The Paycom Jim Thorpe Award is handed out each year to the nation’s best defensive back.

Eisworth is a two-time first-team all-Big 12 recipient, joining a list of just four Cyclones who have twice earned first-team honors by the Big 12 in their careers.

Virtual T.C.’s Tailgate set for August 12

CEDAR FALLS — The annual T.C.’s Tailgate is going virtual and will take place live on Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The live broadcast is free and available to Panther fans everywhere. Participants will receive a 20-percent discount and free shipping on orders over $100 from the UNI Bookstore. The code will be emailed upon completion of the registration process.

The program will include messages from UNI President Mark Nook and Director of Athletics David Harris. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from Ben Jacobson (men’s basketball), Bobbi Peterson (volleyball), Doug Schwab (wrestling), Tanya Warren (women’s basketball), and Mark Farley (football). Those tuning in will also see a behind-the-scenes virtual tour of the men’s basketball locker room courtesy of coach Jacobson.
