Trojans spoil opener for South Hardin

STATE CENTER — West Marshall sophomore Katy Reyerson had her second double-double in as many games as the Trojans spoiled South Hardin’s season debut with a 46-29 decision over the Tigers on Tuesday night.

Reyerson totaled 16 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, three blocked shots and three steals to lead West Marshall (2-0), which opened the season Monday with a win at Colo-NESCO.

Kikki Pfantz pitched in with nine points and four steals for the Trojans, while Olivia Gradwell got seven points. Lauren Solberg added six points and six steals, and Delaney Nichols contributed four points, four boards and four steals.

South Hardin (0-1) started fast with a 5-0 lead before West Marshall countered with the last 11 points of the first quarter, eventually taking a 25-10 lead into halftime.

Emma Spieker led the host Tigers with six points.
