CEDAR FALLS — The Northern Iowa men’s basketball team led from wire-to-wire in a 70-60 victory over Coe College on Monday at the McLeod Center.

The Panthers led by as many as 19 points in the second half before Coe rallied to within nine with 5:36 remaining.

Trae Berhow and Nate Heise led the way for the Panthers, each finishing with 18 points. Noah Carter had 13 points and eight rebounds, and Bowen Born tallied 10 points.

Jacob Robertson paced the Kohawks with 14 points and Cael Schmitt added 11.

UNI visits Southern Illinois on Saturday in MVC play.
