Iowa women finish sweep of Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. — The University of Iowa women’s basketball team completed its season sweep of Wisconsin with an 84-70 victory on Sunday at the Kohl Center.

Gabbie Marshall led Iowa (14-7, 10-7) with a season-high 19 points, bolstered by 7-of-8 shooting from the floor and a season-best 5-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.

Freshman Caitlin Clark had 18 points, a season-high 14 assists and a team-leading seven rebounds. Junior Monika Czinano also poured in 18 points and sophomore McKenna Warnock added 14 points.

“I’m happy with the road victory,” head coach Lisa Bluder said. “They’re not easy to come by.”

Julie Pospisilova scored a game-high 21 points for Wisconsin (5-17, 2-17). Imani Lewis added 16 points and Sydney Hilliard chipped in 12.

Iowa will play its third road game in four contests on Wednesday at Indiana.
