Bobcat boys take care of Blue Jays 4-1

PERRY — Four different players scored goals and the Marshalltown boys’ soccer team improved to 4-1 with a 4-1 victory over host Perry on Friday night.

The Bobcats scored their first two goals within 19 seconds of each other and led 3-0 by halftime. Both teams found the back of the net once in the second half.

Fernando Garcia, Richard Toe, Zach Robson and Jose Cisneros Jr. recorded goals for Marshalltown, while Jaime Lopez was credited with one assist in the wire-to-wire win.

MHS peppered the Perry net with 15 shots on goal in the win. Bobcat goalkeepers Ernesto Tellez and Kale McKibbin combined for just one save.

The Bobcats return to their home pitch on Tuesday, entertaining Class 3A No. 6 Dowling Catholic in a 7:30 p.m. match.
