Lennox/Quakerdale Pro-Am to host 35th edition

This Thursday will mark the 35th year of the Lennox/Quakerdale Invitational Pro-Am Golf Tournament. The annual event will be held at the Elmwood Country Club, the home of the tournament for 35 years. The annual event has thus far raised $2,283,500 for the Quakerdale partners as they work with children and families in Iowa.

Steve Jones, a U.S. Open Winner, will provide a clinic prior to tee off on Thursday. Jones is still active on the PGA Champions Tour and won the 1998 U.S. Open at Oakland Hills, Michigan. A Tempe, Arizona resident, Steve is an 8-time winner on the PGA Tour, including the Quad City Classic (John Deere Classic). The reverse overlap grip he uses is a by-product of an injury to his left index finger two years after the original injury to his left-ring finger. He supports various Christian ministries, including Clydehurst Christian Ranch in Montana.

The Lennox/Quakerdale event returns to its usual June time slot this year after several adjustments to the tournament due to COVID the past two years.

The event brings together Lennox dealers from throughout the Midwest and Canada, Lennox suppliers from all across the country, local amateurs, and Lennox Corporate and Marshalltown staff with one mission, to raise funds for Quakerdale partners.
