The Class 2A No. 3 Grundy Center volleyball team swept No. 13 West Burlington (25-19, 25-19, 25-15) in Wednesday’s Region 8 final at Williamsburg High School to earn the program’s 12th state tournament berth. Grundy Center will face Carroll Kuemper in the first round at state next week at Xtream Arena in Coralville. It’s the Spartans’ first state berth since 2019.
