TJ Otzelberger

ATLANTA — Iowa State men’s basketball head coach T.J. Otzelberger has been named a finalist for the 2024 Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year. Otzelberger is one of four finalists.

Joining Otzelberger as finalists are Dan Hurley (UConn), Lamont Paris (South Carolina) and Kelvin Sampson (Houston).

In his third season at the helm, Otzelberger has led the Cyclones to a No. 4 ranking and a 29-7 overall record.

For the second time in three years, Otzelberger has led the Cyclones to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. He is the first coach in school history with multiple trips to the Sweet 16.
