BIG FOUR BASKETBALL: No. 9 TCU pulls away from Cyclones
AMES — Hailey Van Lith scored 28 points and Taylor Bigby added 19 to help No. 9 TCU to an 82-69 win over Iowa State Sunday.
Both Van Lith and Bigby reached new season highs in points to give the Horned Frogs (21-2, 9-1 Big 12) their second consecutive win.
Addy Brown scored a career-high 31 points for the Cyclones (15-9, 6-5), while Audi Crooks added 29.
Drake 69, UNI 63
DES MOINES — Katie Dinnebier delivered Drake needed her most, scoring her team’s final seven points to lift the Bulldogs to a 69-63 victory over UNI on Saturday at the Knapp Center.
Dinnebier finished with 17 points as Drake (13-8, 7-3) beat the Panthers (10-11, 5-5) for the fourth straight time. The Bulldogs had to survive 23 turnovers and UNI’s Maya McDermott to stay within striking distance of the MVC lead at the halfway point in the conference season.
McDermott scored 14 of UNI’s 20 points in the fourth quarter and wound up with 27, including a career-high seven 3-pointers.
Anna Miller led Drake with a 20-point, 13-rebound double-double.

Drake 75, S. Illinois 65
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Bennett Stirtz’s 30 points led Drake over Southern Illinois 75-65 on Saturday.
Stirtz had five assists for the Bulldogs (20-2, 10-2 Missouri Valley Conference). Tavion Banks scored 21 points and added five rebounds and four steals. Daniel Abreu had 12 points and shot 3 of 7 from the field, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 8 from the line. The Bulldogs extended their winning streak to eight games.
The Salukis (10-13, 5-7) were led by Kennard Davis, who recorded 22 points. Ali Abdou Dibba added 20 points and three steals for Southern Illinois.
UNI 83, Bradley 69
CEDAR FALLS — Max Weisbrod hit five 3-pointers and scored 18 points to guide Northern Iowa to an 83-69 victory over Bradley on Sunday at the McLeod Center.
Weisbrod shot 6 for 9, including 5 for 7 from beyond the arc for the Panthers (14-9, 8-4). Tytan Anderson totaled 17 points and nine rebounds. Jacob Hutson had 12 points.
Jaquan Johnson led the way for the Braves (18-5, 9-3) with 27 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Demarion Burch added 13 points and Ahmet Jonovic scored 10.
Northern Iowa took the lead with 8:11 left in the first half and never looked back. The score was 34-25 at halftime, with Cael Schmitt racking up nine points.
