Stephanie Nichole Prusha Ward, 36, of Marshalltown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, August 24, 2019.

Funeral services for Stephanie will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Stephanie Prusha was born on June 1, 1983, in Marshalltown to Stephen and Traci Gibson Prusha. She graduated Marshalltown High School in 2002. In May of 2005, she received her associate’s degree in science and early childhood education; 2009 studied actuarial sciences and biology at NIACC and in 2011 she earned her associate’s degree in applied sciences and biology and computer applications. Stephanie deeply loved her four children and will be greatly missed. Stephanie was full of imagination and was artistic, a free spirit and loved nature. She was full of spunk and attitude and would tell you what she thought or wanted. She loved going to hippie festivals and had a gypsy like attitude. She went where her spirit led her.

Stephanie is survived by her children: Savanna Noelle, Maggie Leigh Ann, Sammuel Kevin and Bella Nichole; parents, Traci and Kevin Vaughn and Stephen Prusha; siblings: Larry Prusha and Kayti (Aaron) Shaffer; grandparents: Steve and Marg Simmons, Tom and Sheryl Underhill and Linda Underhill. She is also survived by her great grandmother Barbara Prusha, uncle Brad Gibson and nieces and nephews, Mikiah Lynn Marie, Tyler John Lee and Mackenzie Jessica Kay.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her grandfather Larry Gibson and uncle Scott Gibson.
