The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 4. Bond is set at $15,000 cash only. Upon release Sanders will have 60 days to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit it to the court.

• Kristopher Scott Smith made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense, a carrying weapons charge, a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, an operation without registration charge, a no insurance charge, a no valid driver’s license charge and a fraudulent use of registration charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 4. The bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. • Cora Edna Marie Mattingly made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension offense, a interference with official acts charge, a trespass-first offense charge, a criminal mischief-fifth degree charge, an operation without registration charge, a no insurance charge, a operation of a non-registered vehicle charge and a trespass charge. Mattingly pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 in Magistrate Court.

• Aileen Norielis Laboy Gonzalez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension offense, a speeding charge and a no insurance charge. Laboy Gonzalez pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 27 in Magistrate Court.

• Oscar Mendoza Perez made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. Mendoza Perez pleaded guilty and the fine is $80 with a $28 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $168, due within 30 days.
