COMMUNITY
Best part of living here: Many offerings for families with a “small town” feel. There are great people who really understand the meaning of “community.”
Most influential people: My parents who taught me the meaning of unconditional love. If I ever needed them for something they would drop whatever they were doing and respond. Also, my wife, Mary, who orchestrates things at home and at work and makes sure even my toenails get clipped.
Local involvement: Board of Directors of the Marshalltown Area United Way, member of St. Henry’s Church, part of local improvisational comedy group “Instant Comedy: Just Add Spam,” MHS/Community Auditorium Foundation Board and Vision Marshalltown marketing committee.
