A Marshalltown woman was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail by the Marshalltown Police Department earlier this week on a criminal complaint of domestic abuse assault. Capt. Brian Batterson of the MPD said Heather Lynn Reader, 38, was cited after an officer investigated an incident in the 400 block of East Boone Street. Batterson said an argument between Reeder and the victim turned into a physical confrontation. The victim had blood scratch marks on his back and arms, according the MPD report. A Marshall County Magistrate issued a no contract order against Reeder, meaning she can not have contact with the victim. Her preliminary hearing is July 30.
