A female victim was struck numerous times in the head by a local man at a business in the 1500 block of East Olive Street earlier this week, which resulted in the aggressor's arrest and incarceration.
Adrian Lavon Kincade, 41, was taken into custody by Marshalltown police on a charge of assault causing bodily injury, according to a criminal complaint and affidavit filed in Marshall County District Court. The defendant admitted to his actions and said he struck the victim because she was causing confusion in their place of work.
The defendant was appointed a public defender to represent him at his initial appearance also earlier this week and released on his own recognizance. Additionally, the magistrate issued a no contact order against the defendant, meaning he can not contact the victim. His preliminary hearing is Feb. 12.
