Jo Ann Jay, age 91, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Accura HealthCare of Marshalltown. Services for Jo Ann will take place on Tuesday, January 13 at 10:30 AM at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior beginning at 9:30 AM. She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Carol Lee (Drake) Drees born on 01/21/1935 passed away 12/31/2025 in Cheyenne, WY from complications of a broken femur. Carol was born at home in Coon Rapids, IA to Roland and Helen (Davis) Drake. She attended country school until 8th grade then went to town school in Coon Rapids. In town she learned to play basketball and was a star forward. At 18 she went to the University of Northern Iowa where she received a Teacher Certificate in lower elementary education. In 1954 she met Herbert Drees and they married in Templeton, IA in 1955. Charlene K. (Lindsey, Burnett) Schellenberg, formerly of Marshalltown until the family moved to St. Louis, MO, passed away in her sleep on Dec. 14, 2025, following a lengthy battle with Parkingson's disease. She is survived by her husband, Marv of 48 years; her son, Kyle and grandson; her daughter, Kendra and granddaughter.
