Reading the paper, I had to laugh, Tupper running for Iowa House of Representatives District 52. Tupper said I’m not a politician, yeah right with speed dial to newspaper or anyone else who would take his picture to get in paper. While he was Chief, we lost 12 good police officers. Tupper came from the Nevada police force. I’ve talked to at least 12 couples and individuals, told them he retired and is moving back to Nevada, and was told hell no, no way, you keep him, we don’t want him back. This week, Iowa House Republicans released a slate of tough-on-crime legislative proposals to ensure Iowa does not become a haven for career criminals. The first bill, which is awaiting a bill number, is the House Republicans Career Criminals bill. We are implementing a “Three-and-Done” Strike System. The Emergency Food Box Board is taking time to evaluate 2025 and plan for 2026. The Board wants to thank the community for their support. The community has embraced this mission with many caring volunteers and the resources needed to carry out our mission.
