BOONE — The BCLUW girls’ golf team closed out its fourth trip to the season-ending Class 1A state tournament in the last five years with an eighth-place finish on Friday at Cedar Point Golf Course. The Comets couldn’t move the needle in the needed direction in Friday’s final 18 holes and slipped from fifth to eighth in the 10-team final standings. BOONE — The BCLUW girls’ golf team stands in fifth place out of 10 teams in the Class 1A Iowa Girls’ State Golf Tournament after Thursday’s opening round at Cedar Pointe Golf Course.
