Arthur and Beverly (Sietmann) DeWitt will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on June 18. They both graduated from Laurel High School and farmed for 50 years, south of Laurel, before retiring to Marshalltown. They continue to be active members of Laurel United Methodist Church.

Beverly has enjoyed working as a volunteer at the hospital for more than 20 years. They have two children, Dennis (Sara), of Spencer, and Diana, of Nashville, Tenn. Their four grandchildren: Lucas (Lisa), Joellen (Chris), Heather (Jimmy) and Steven (Kelly), have blessed them with 12 great-grandchildren.
