History of aprons is program for Chapter JU

Sixteen members of Chapter JU of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Marshalltown Public Library. Joann Neven, a member of Chapter LT, gave an interesting program on aprons, their history and purposes as she described each apron from her collection. Members then shared information about their favorite apron.

A business meeting followed with information about the Convention of the Iowa State Chapter to be held June 1-2 in Des Moines. Six Chapter JU members are scheduled to attend.

The tea committee of Abby Kersbergen, Emily Osmundson and Betty Collison then served dessert. The next meeting of the chapter will be at 1 p.m. on June 3 at the home of Rita Riskedahl.
