Program on Japan trip presented at Chapter DA
Chapter DA of the National TTT Society met Monday at Erma Meyer’s home.
The program was presented by Brooke De Jong. She told the members of her visit to Japan last summer. She went as a member of the sister city program. De Jong told the members about the interesting things she saw and some of the food they were served. Her mom Sarah De Jong was also present and she filled the members in on some of the details of the trip.
President Meyer called the meeting to order. Kayla Danielson was introduced as a guest. The secretaries report was read and approved. The treasurer gave her report and it will be filed for audit.
Project Chairman Sharon Brimmer reported on the fundraiser of nuts and dried fruit. It is going very well. Products are available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in northwest corner of the Marshalltown Mall or by calling Sharon Brimmer at 641-754-3774. The chapter will also have a table at the Mowry Irvine Mansion on Nov. 23 and at the Christmas Craft Sale at the fairgrounds Dec. 7.
Meyer announced that the Christmas Luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Glenwood Place. Meeting was closed and refreshments were served by Meyer and Rochelle McCormack.
