Chapter DA wraps up nut project

Chapter DA of the National TTT Society met Monday at the Marshalltown Library. Refreshments were served by Sharon Brimmer and Jean Miller. Members enjoyed a social time.

President Erma Meyer called the business meeting to order. The secretary’s reports from November and December were read and approved. The treasurer gave her report and it will be filed for audit.

A thank you note was from St. Francis of Assisi Social Justice Committee thanking the chapter for the donations of nuts and fruits for the families on the churches giving tree at Christmas time.

Project chairman Brimmer reported on the nut project. It was very successful. She thanked all the members who sold nuts, helped at the craft sales and at the office or in other ways.

Judy Roads and Brimmer, who are on the camp committee, discussed the camp project for this summer. They will be selecting the girls soon and begin the paper work when it is available. Chapter DA will be hosting the Founders Day celebration in April. Details will be finalized later.

The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. on Feb. 3 at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
