For the Love of Binford Event is at dinner beginning with a social hour with charcuterie and sparkling cider at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15 at the house, 110 N. Second Ave., Marshalltown. Guests may bring and open their own wine.

This is sponsored by the Marshalltown Federation of Women’s Clubs Board who maintain, protect and decorate Binford House. They announced this 6 p.m. meal menu at their Jan. 9 board meeting: Choice of entre’ of Prime Rib, Chicken Marsala or Salmon, mixed green salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing on the side, oven roasted potatoes, roasted vegetable medley, rolls and bread, chocolate layer cake with mousse, ganache frosting and strawberry, coffee and tea.

Cost is $40 per person with reservations made by calling 641-753-5450 by Feb. 7. There will be a gift drawing of certificates from Hellberg’s Jewelers, 9th Street Art and Frame and glass objects. There is a limitation of 36 guests each evening.

Deb Mason, president, presiding at this meeting with 10 members and a guest present, reported on repairs needed to the house in 2020 as a results of the July 2018 tornado along with the usual reports.
