Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met at Pizza Ranch on Feb. 11 with 11 members, a Member at Large, two guests present and four members excused.

President Caralee Hutchens thanked Karen Shipley-Cooper for hosting. Roll call was taken with the question: “How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day?” Minutes of the last meeting were read and along treasurer’s report approved. Bonnie Speas reported no information received from International. Each individual was given the opportunity to talk about their “ups and downs” of life as Dorothy Perry explained the reason for those absent.

Election of officers was the main topic of discussion. Motion was made by Jan Keller to nominate Diane Hobson as president, seconded, and all voted in favor. No vice president was elected and treasurer’s position was accepted by Barb Noid after nomination by Elaine Fiscus. Alice Nicholson has retained the recording secretary as no other motions were made. Installation of officers will be held at the last meeting in April.

The meeting ended announcing the next meeting to be held Feb. 25 at Dairy Queen on Center Street with Nicholson hosting.
