Beta Sigma Phi have moment of silence

On Tuesday, seven members of Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met at Marshall County Ag ISU Extension office for their monthly meeting. President Diane Hobson thanked Dorothy Perry and LaVonne Pollard for hosting.

Roll call was taken by Alice Nicholson with the question: “What is your New Year’s Resolution?”

Minutes of the Dec. 8 meeting were read and approved, along with Barb Noid giving the Treasurer Report with all dues paid but one. Dorothy Perry gave a brief report on the members not present. Two members called to be excused. Various health reports were given.

Caralee Hutchens received a letter from International stating she is now eligible for the Diamond Circle completing 60 years as a member of Beta Sigma Phi. The award will be presented on Founder’s Day.

A moment of silence was observed for member Anne Fiscus upon her death Jan. 2. Each shared a memory of her life.

Hutchens passed the Rada Cutlery catalog around if anyone wished to order as it will not be an income project.

The meeting closed announcing the return to the location on Feb. 9 with Hutchens hosting.
