How to improve Elks Park
The Marshalltown Parks and Recreation Department is looking for input for the Elks Park neighborhood on what amenities they would like to see improved or added at Elks Park, 516 N Third Street.
A Community Engagement Meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday the park. Anyone interested in providing feedback or input on the park amenities and future improvements to be made this summer are welcome to attend.
Currently, Elks Parks has a shelter, basketball court and several play structures for all ages. If people are unable to attend the meeting but would still like to provide input on the park they can call 641-754-5715.
“We have some money to invest in Elks Park this summer and we’d love to hear what the neighbors want to see in features and amenities. We will be looking to add lighting, sidewalks for access and a new sign which were items address for all of our parks in our Park and Rec Master Plan that was done in 2018,” said Geoff Hubbard, Parks and Recreation Director.
