Chapter JU of the PEO Sisterhood, held an outdoor meeting at the Sixth Street Softball Complex on Monday.

Chaplain Connie Stansberry gave the devotions and President Marlys Smith conducted the business meeting. Members discussed amendments which will be voted upon at the upcoming September meeting of the International Convention. The convention will be held virtually so all members will have an opportunity to join in.

Following the business meeting, members enjoyed a program presented by Ann Bresler. The program was entitled “Trail Walks” and Bresler told about her membership in the Twenty Walks in Twenty Parks experiences. She and her husband, Dana, walk the parks in the Des Moines area and stamp their books as they complete walking in each park.

Bresler also updated members on the work that is being done on the trails surrounding Marshalltown. She pointed out that they are used by walkers, bikers, hikers and skiers.
