Laurel Auxiliary hears about bakeless sale
The Harold McBroom Laurel American Legion Auxiliary #635 met at the Legion home on July 21 with six members present.
LaDonna Runner called the meeting to order. After the opening prayer, the members recited the Pledge of Allegiance and stood in silence for P.O.W.s, M.I.A.s and deceased veterans. They recited the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was read and accepted for audit.
A report was given on the Poppy Drive. Also a report was given on the bakeless bake sale which went very well. Another report was given by LaDonna Runner about the Department Convention in Des Moines.
Laure Tribby gave a program on what the folds in the American flag meant.
A motion was made to adjourn and seconded.
