Advisor speaks at Retired School Personnel meeting
The Marshall County Retired School Personnel Association met at the Marshalltown Public Library for a potluck lunch on Sept 20. Paul Strid, district manager of the Association Member Benefits Advisors, spoke about the various benefits for retired school personnel available from his company.
President Carole Permar opened the meeting. The minutes were read and approved. Treasurer Otto Welfring reported a balance of $1105.98. Lyle Niemeyer reported the treasurer’s books had been audited and are in order. Phil Tetzloff reported on IPERS.

Books to be donated to the library have been ordered. These are in memory of LaVerne Hoelscher, Sharon Berg and Doreen Hasenwinkel, members who have died recently.
The state meeting will be held at Honey Creek Resort near Centerville on Oct. 6-7.
The social committee of officers was thanked and the meeting was adjourned.
