On Sept. 15, the Laurel American Legion Auxiliary #635 met at the Laurel Legion Home with seven members present.

Vice President Laura Tribbe opened the meeting with prayer. Members recited the Pledge of Allegiance. stood in silence for POW’s MIA’s and deceased veterans. Members recited the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary.

President LaDonna Runner took over the meeting and the minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurers report was given and accepted for audit.

It was reported that the shelter house in Apple Park had been torn down. It was also reported that the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown had been closed to visitors because of the virus.

The Units by-laws were reviewed and some were rewritten.

A motion was made and seconded to not have meetings in December,January and February.
