The ceremony took place outdoors near the Freedom Rock. Led by Gloria DeBower and with readings by Marilyn Kidd and Linda Cooper, several guild members helped award each veteran a quilt and certificate expressing recognition and thanking them for their service. Recipients were: Steven Hyde, Marian Hyde, John White, Alan Hoop, Roger Dirks, Harold Dirks, James Schelling, Larry Tuttle and Jack Olson. One award took place in the veteran’s home.
