CONTRIBUTED PHOTO — John Devlin was the featured artist at Tuesday Musical Club Guest Day on Oct. 12 at Hope United Methodist Church. Devlin spoke on his Bach Organ Tour in Germany, shared some pictures from his trip and played several organ pieces.

Local musician and author Deborah Nuss will present a guest day program as part of Tuesday Musical Club’s outreach to the public. Nuss is a published composer and author, taught music in the Marshalltown Community School District for many years and has often performed locally.

Nuss’s program, “Praise Through Poetry and Psalm,” will include poems she has written over several decades. The audience will be invited to sing songs and hymns that relate to the poetry.

The program will be at 1 p.m. on Oct. 26, at First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown. The public is invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
