Liscomb Legion Auxiliary plans for Veterans Day

LISCOMB — The Liscomb Legion Auxiliary Unit 87 met 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 at the Union Library with four members present.

President Sharon Hatch called the meeting to order. Chaplain Dorothy Sorensen gave devotions followed by a moment of silence for MIA/POWs and deceased veterans. The members recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble.

A thank-you note was received from BCLUW Middle School staff for the goody sacks given by the Unit.

The Veterans Day Nov. 11 program will be at the Liscomb Community Center. The Unit will provide lunch after the program.

The next meeting will be Dec. 7 for a noon lunch at Hatch’s home in Whitten. A Christmas grab bag gift of $5 will be after the meeting.

Sorensen gave the closing prayer and gave a reading for Veteran’s Day. Thank a veteran for their service and keeping freedom safe.

Lunch was served by Hatch.
