Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for lunch on Feb. 8 at the Marshall County AG-ISU Extension Office arranged by Caralee Hutchens.

A thank you to Jan Keller for hosting and providing maid-rites and chips that was enjoyed along with a variety of valentine candies on the red placemats and napkins. Seven members and two guests were present.

In the absence of Diane Hobson, president, Alice Nicholson opened the meeting with the roll call question: “Who do you want to win the Super Bowl?” The Bengals were the favorite as there is a player on the team from Ames.

The minutes of the January meeting were read and approved, along with Barb Noid giving the treasurer’s report. Various health reports given amongst the present members, as Bonnie Speas was present after surgery, along with Dorothy Perry reporting on those who were absent.

Stamps were collected, and the only Old Business was indicated that the Memorial for Arlene Benson would be held at the last meeting in May.

A guest, Louise Powers, will be hosting the March 8 meeting at the same location due to avoid the COVID and the likeness of being private.

The meeting closed with Nicholson reading ‘Friends’ by C.David Hay from the ideals FRIENDSHIP magazine.
