Levi Reynolds, a Lenihan Intermediate School fifth grade student, was the local winner of the Optimist International Essay Contest, sponsored by the Optimist Club of Marshalltown. Reynolds read aloud his essay entitled “How Does an Optimist Mindset Change My Tomorrow?” at a recent Optimist Club meeting. Optimist Club President John Danielson rewarded Reynolds with a certificate, a medal and passes to the Aquatic Center. Reynolds’ parents, Connor and Sarah Reynolds, accompanied him to the meeting.
